Lakshadweep is going to be a new travel destination in the World
Narendra Modi's visit to Lakshadweep became the trend on Google in the past 2 days, which is expected to bring new interaction in the union territory. India's one of the most inhabitant Islands Lakshadweep which holds 36 Islands where only 20 Islands for Indians and 12 for foreigners are allowed by the Indian government. The Indian tourism ministry has set a plan to make Lakshadweep a tourism depot.
Narendra Modi's social media post on Lakshwadeep has created a history among Indian Netizens, even the local Lakshadweep people also sharing photos of the Island with the tagline #VisitLakshadweep.
The Prime minister's current visit has created a great impression among Indian netizens. According to MakeMyTrip, an Indian tourism company in the past 2 days, they have got the highest number of traffic only on Lakshadweep Tours.
Tata Group also said that they are going to open two resorts at Lakshadweep in 2026 on the islands of Shuheli and Kadam. "The Greenfield project is slated to open in 2026 and will be developed by the IHCL," the company executive said.
"We see significant potential in Lakshadweep with its Pristine beaches and coral reefs sets among the Arabian Sea." IHCL MD and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said. "The two world-class Taj Resort will attract International as well as National travellers" he added
Indian trade bodies like the Indian Chamber of Commerce they also urged Indian companies to invest in Lakshwadeep.
ICC chairman Subhash Goyal stated "I Apple to members of FHRAI and the Hotel Association of India to seriously look at investing in Lakshwadeep Island as in the future it will be given better returns on your investment than Maldives. I've already STIC travels to stop selling Maldives.
"This is in spite of the fact that Indians are one of the biggest sources of foreign exchange and creation of jobs in the Maldives. Please divert all such enquiries to Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Island which are even better than Maldives in many ways and other destinations which can be promoted in the Indian oceans are areas like Sri Lanka. Mauritius, Bali and Phuket." the ICC Chairman said in the statement.
