Historic Moent for India, UPI started operations in France
UPI has started its first International presence in France.
France's government has allowed UPI to work in the country. The National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has partnered with Lyra to provide the UPI payments in Europe which has been started from the Eiffel Tower.
This historic journey started on February 2nd from the iconic place of Paris, Eiffel Tower it means the tourist can book their trips using India's payment system.
France became the first country in Europe to accept the UPI payment which was officially announced by the Indian Embassy and France government combiendly in a meeting to celebrate India's Republic Day.
"UPI formally launched at the iconic Eiffel Tower at the huge Republic Day reception implementing PM Narendra Modi's announcement and the vision of taking UPI global."-Indian Ambessy in France officially announced on the X platform.
