Former Indian cricketer and BJP member Gautam Gambhir has announced his retirement from the Bharatiya Janata Party just ahead of the Parliament election.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election of 2019 Gautam Gambhir has joined the BJP and owns the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the BJP. This time ahead of the Parliamentary elections Gambhir Quit the BJP after posting on social media.

In his farewell post, Gautam Gambhir showed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for giving he is the role of helping the people and informing due to cricket responsibilities he is stepping aside from the political roles and responsibilities.

Gambhir's Post stated

"I have requested honorable party president JP Nadda Ji to relieve me of my political duties so that I can focus on my upcoming cricket commitments. I sincerely thank honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and honorable Home Minister Amit Shah Ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people. Jai Hind."-Gambhir posted on social media.

BJP is said to announce their new candidate for the feet of East Delhi for the Lok Sabha election 2024 as Gautam Gambhir has resigned from the party it is definite that he will not get the ticket for the election now we have to see the BJP party will give preference to which leader to contest in this constituency.
