Broadway Legend Chita Rivera Pass Away at 91 -great triple threat

Three times Tony award-winning Broadway legend Cheetah Rivera passed away today at the age of 91 according to her daughter Lisa Mordente.



Chita Rivera great singer dancer and actor nominated for 10 Tony, and successfully won twice in her long Broadway career. Lost her life today due to a long serving illness.

The Broadway legend played some incredible roles Velma Kely in Chicago, Anita in, west side story, Aurora in Kiss of The Spider Woman, Rose in Bye Bye Bridlee, and many more.


Chita Rivera gained her first worldwide notice in 1957 as Anita in the West Side Story, moreover, she performed with the same enthusiasm, charisma, and energy in 2015's The Visit after almost sixty years.


"She was spontaneous and compiling and talented as hell for decades and the kids on Broadway. Once you show her you never forget her."- Lawrence Maslon producer of 2004 TBS Broadway series told to NPR.


Since 1950 to 2015 she was the poster girl for some big hits in 1986 Rivera mate in a serious taxi accident and the physician said she was not able to die however mental strength proved the world wrong.
