Amit Shah told CAA will be implemented before elections ,no worries to Muslims
Union Home Minister Amit Shah that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which was been passed in, will be implemented before the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024.
This bill is for the people to provide citizenship to the prosecuted refugees from neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan will be from this country being given the citizenship of India.
"CAA is an act of the country, it will be notified before the polls. There should be no confusion around it. Minorities in our country, and especially our Muslim community are being provoking, CAA cannot snatch away anyone's citizenship because there is no provision in the Act CAA. Is an act to provide citizenship to the refugees who were prosecuted in Bangladesh and Pakistan."Amit Shah told in ET-NOW Global Business Summit in Delhi.
'CAA was a promise of the Congress government when the country was divided and the minority was prosecuted in those countries, Congress had assured the refugees that they were welcome in India and they will be provided with the Indian citizenship."
"Minorities in our country and fish our Muslim community provoke take cannot snatch away anyone's citizenship because there is no provision in the Act. CAA is an act to provide citizenship a refugees who were residually in Bangladesh and Pakistan." He said.
